Tree Watching
Time for a little tour of my fruit trees!
But first, Chipper says “hi”.
My lime trees are doing well!
Hopefully they will be ready for pickin’ soon! The trees smell so wonderful!
Chipper thinks so, too.
This is my little baby fig tree.
And this here is Ruby Red.
This is my tree-watching dog.
He scares away all the birds and squirrels that want to eat the fruit.
This is my blueberry tree. So beautiful, isn’t it? Last year, birds ate all the blueberries off of it. I honestly forgot about my blueberry tree and have been neglecting it. I don’t think I’ll get fruit from it this year. So sad.
This isn’t even all the trees we have! These are just the ones I’m most excited about! 🙂
I also just wanted to say thank you for your comments yesterday. Your support and love made me feel so much better and it was nice to hear that I’m not the only one that has bad days like that! Thank you so much, it meant a lot.
Quick! Which do you like better: grapefruit or limes?
You are growing the coolest stuff! I would love a fig tree. My best friend used to have one and I tried my first fig from it! I tried to grow strawberries once, but the animals ate that and every other thing I’ve tried to grow. I really want to try again!
That is awesome that you have fruit trees! Grapefruit or limes? Tough choice! I LOVE both!!
Eee, I am so jealous of you and your fruit trees! When we move to Utah, my mom and I are TOTALLY starting a garden. No question about it! I probably would pick limes.. just cause I use the more. 🙂 But blueberries are #1!
So cool! I would love to have fruit trees, but it’s really not possible up north. When I visited a friend in California, I was amazed that we could pick oranges in her backyard, then make fresh OJ.
Limes beat grapefruits for me!
Happy to hear we made your day a little bit better 🙂
GRAPEFRUIT. All the way!
Awesome!! I’d love to have any sort of fruit, veggie, or even flowers growing in the ground of trees around here. Well, we have those little white flowers that smell like dead fish..but yeah.
Grapefruit! I don’t eat limes much, but I’ve really grown to love grapefruit!
Mmmm grapefruit trees! My boy-friend has a huge one that literally takes up their whole backyard. They get grapefruits year round from it (even winter!) and it’s so delicious.
Aw id love to be able to have fruit treesin my garden..i think they would all die though from the changable weather we get :(.
I think i prefer limes yum!
Wow! Those different fruit trees are so cool!
I wish I had some. Growing your own food is just so much more fun than buying it from the store. 😀
As for your Question of the Day, I’d totally choose grapefruits. I used to be obsessed with them! 😛
SO jealous of ur fruit trees!!! GRAPEFRUIT!
So cool that you have all the different fruit trees!!! 😀
Chipper is adorable, by the way!
Oh. My. Gosh. I have been dying to buy some fruit trees. When I moved to Florida last year, our house had two fruit trees: Tangelo and loquat. I have been dying to buy some orange, mango, avocado, banana, and lime trees!!!
Mango would be amazing.
Omg, I would love to have fruit trees. You’re so lucky! I’m not sure the temperature here would allow for fruit? Hmm. And if it was between a lime or grapefruit, I would totally go for the limes. They give so much flavor!
So cool that you have all those trees!!! I can’t wait to see all the limes, figs and bloobs!!
Me too! AHH so exciting!
Your puppy is the CUTEST thing.
And I wish we could grow trees like that here… but I don’t think they’d appreciate our cold weather. Boo. And grapefruit for sure… especially the sweet, juicy, ruby reds.
I am super jealous of your fruit trees. Can you mail them to me. Is that acceptable?
Gosh you have the cutest puppy ever. I love my doggy, but he’s huge so It he just wants to tackle me.
I’m so jealous of your fruit trees. NOT fair 😉
Glad you are feeling better!
Wow! You have the coolest trees ever! You must live somewhere warm! I’m Jealous!! 🙂
Whitney
Yes, Florida! It’s almost too warm. 😉
I want a fig tree! That’s so cool!!!
